Monday: 1 Peter 3, Romans 15:4, Proverbs 15:32, skim Matthew, Mark, Luke & John Key Verse: 1 Peter 3 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
To Think About: Why are questions of God and to God important? Based on these verses what is Godʼs reaction when we question what or why he is doing something? Have you ever questioned God? What were the results?
Tuesday: 1 Peter 3, Romans 15:4, Proverbs 15:32, skim Matthew, Mark, Luke, John Key Verse: 1 Peter 3 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
To Think About: What questions do you have of God? Is something bothering you? Be specific: list verses that puzzle you, questions, etc. Pray about them for the next couple of days. Ask someone you trust what they think about your questions.
Wednesday: 1 Peter 3, Romans 15:4, Proverbs 15:32, skim Matthew, Mark, Luke, John Key Verse: 1 Peter 3 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
To Think About: Have people asked you questions about your faith? What questions did they ask? Did you have answers? If no one has asked questions, what questions do you think people have about our faith in Christ? Why is it important to have answers for them? How does Romans 15:4 help with that answer? Be specific.
Thursday: 1 Peter 3, Isaiah 58:9 & 65:24, Jeremiah 33:3, Psalm 91:15, Luke 11:9 Key Verse: Isaiah 58:9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
To Think About: Look at your list of questions from Tuesday. Did God — through your prayers and discussion with others — give you some answers? Though the Isaiah verses are about God helping in times of trial, he will give answers to your questions. Using Luke 9:11 as a keystone, how does God answer your questions?
Friday: 1 Peter 3, skim Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, Romans 15:4, Proverbs 15:32 Key Verse: 1 Peter 3 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. To Think About: Skim the gospels. What are some of the questions the disciples and Jewish leaders and non-believers had for Jesus? Can you find a theme for the nonbelievers? Same question for believers? What are they wanting to know?
Saturday: Jeremiah 33:3 Key Verse: Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
To Think About: What does Jeremiah mean by “great and unsearchable things?”
