Monday:Acts 26, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, John 3:16 Key Verses: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
To Think About: Read Acts 26 and list Paulʼs arguments for accepting Christ. What do you learn from them? Read what Jesus says to Paul. What stands out in that conversation about light?
Tuesday: Acts 26:12-18, Luke 13:1-5, Matthew 4:17, Matthew 3:1-3, Mark 6:12, Acts 2:38-40, Ezekiel 14:6 Key Verses:Acts 26:17-18 I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.
To Think About: In Paulʼs day Judaism was very legalistic. Obeying rules ruled. Jesus wants a relationship. It starts with repentance. What does that mean to you? Be specific. Do you know verses to back up what you believe?
Wednesday: John 3:11-21, Acts 16:31, 17:30-31, Romans 10:9, 10:13, Key Verse:Acts 16:31Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved — you and your household.
To Think About: In Paulʼs day Judaism was very legalistic. Salvation was complicated. Go to your reference bible, to the Internet or to other reference materials and find Jesusʼ rules? Or does he have them? If so, list the verses. What happens if you donʼt or arenʼt able to follow his rules?
Thursday: Acts 26, 1st Corinthians 15, skim Matthew, Mark, Luke & John Key Verses: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
To Think About: Paulʼs definition of the gospel is very brief. Be more detailed. What is the gospel to you? Think carefully about this: why is the gospel different from “religion?”
Friday & Saturday: 1 Corinthians 15 Key Verses: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
To Think About: Read all of 1st Corinthians 15. Paul eloquently explains the importance of Jesus being raised from the dead and our eventually being raised, too. It is the centerpiece of Christianity. A Jesus left in the tomb leaves us with nothing. From these verses list all of the things you didnʼt know about resurrection. On Saturday list what you learned from them.
