We believe that God created, we corrupted, Jesus corrected, and we continue. This is our core expression of the good news that Jesus is Lord and king, and we build our lives around this reality.

Our church, named The Chapel, was planted in 1997 in accordance with Pastor David Brown’s calling to Troutdale. From the start, our mission has always been to reach and serve the residents of Troutdale through a meaningful presence in and around the city. 

Our presence in Troutdale has been seen over the years through involvement with city events, road clean-ups, serve days, free events for the citizens to enjoy, homeless outreaches and large events to connect citizens with community resources and service providers just to name a few. 

Our commitment to the community beyond our walls also has allowed us to partner with a number of wonderful organizations along the way: the City of Troutdale, the Chamber of Commerce, other churches for combined events, Reynolds High School, Troutdale Elementary, Youth for Christ, Boxes of Love, Immigrant Connection PDX, Good News Community Health Clinic, Veteran Stand Down Events, Corbett Children’s Theater, Northwest Children’s Outreach, a Spanish speaking church and our own community lunch and food pantry that has been in operation for over 15 years. 

We continue to look for more ways to let the person of Jesus be known through the activities of our church both at our location and through out the city.
